Construction Process

The construction process for installing underground transmission cable lines involves the following five key steps.

1. Vault Installation

Install vaults underground in intervals along the route for cable splicing.

2. Duct Bank Installation

Prepare roadways with underground duct banks where new cable is installed.

3. Restoration

Restore excavated areas after completing vault and duct bank installation.

4. Cable Installation

Take underground cable from a truck and pull cable from one vault to another.

5. Cable Splicing

Set up at each vault location to splice the underground cable together.
