O&R Names Garnerville Resident to Community Affairs Post

Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. (O&R) has named Matthew D. Mariconi as a Regional & Community Affairs Manager covering part of O&R’s Rockland County service area.

In his new position, Mariconi will serve as O&R’s primary community contact for the Towns of Clarkstown, Haverstraw and Stony Point as well as the Villages of Haverstraw, West Haverstraw, Upper Nyack, Nyack, South Nyack, Grand View-on-Hudson and Piermont.

O&R’s Corporate Affairs Director Tom Brizzolara said, “Matt is a welcomed addition to our talented team of corporate affairs professionals.

Since 2014, Mariconi has assumed roles of increasing responsibility in O&R’s Customer Energy Services Department where he most recently served as the program administrator managing O&R’s commercial direct install program.

That program helps small business owners --- with O&R’s support and guidance --- select, purchase and install energy efficient lighting, fixtures and other equipment designed to save customers energy and money to achieve both business and environmental sustainability.

Prior to joining O&R, Mariconi gained extensive business experience during nearly a decade in the financial services industry as a branch manager for Key Bank in Orangeburg, a personal banker at Chase Bank in New City and an internal consultant on the sales/service desk at UBS Financial Services in Weehawken, N.J.

Mariconi, who lives in Garnerville, holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Ramapo College and a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany.
