Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland A Dream Come True for A 4th Year
Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III, left, shows the way to northern New Jersey’s premier winter festival yesterday at Van Saun County Park in Paramus. That’s the home of Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland, back for its fourth year of transforming 3.5 acres of Van Saun County Park in Paramus into a recreational holiday dream.
The popular event is sponsored by Bergen County and underwritten by generous community patrons, such as Rockland Electric Company, which this year contributed $10,000 to help support the event.
The celebration venue features two ice skating rinks, a North Pole dome, carnival-style games and a heated pavilion tent filled with vendors selling just about everything you’d expect to eat and drink. Van Saun County Park’s legendary train, decked-out for the holidays, is running at full steam, the charming carousel is spinning through the snow and a giant lighted evergreen tree is shining through it all, providing a majestic centerpiece for the celebration. Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland is open Friday through Sunday each week until January 5, 2020.
