Ways to Save
If you have an O&R electric account and central air conditioning, a Wi-Fi network, and an eligible smart thermostat, you may qualify for an $85 rebate through our Smart Savers program.
If you don't already have a Smart Thermostat you can purchase one at the myORUstore and receive an instant $85 rebate at checkout when you enroll. Additional rebates may also be available.
How it Works
When you enroll in Smart Savers, you’ll allow us to make brief, limited adjustments to your smart thermostat settings when electric demand is high, and the energy grid is strained.
You can expect a maximum of 10 adjustments each summer (May 1 through September 30), unless there is a power emergency.
The adjustment periods for program participants will typically last no longer than four hours and would likely take place between 11:00 a.m. and 11 p.m. on weekdays.
