O&R Donates $500 to Spring Valley Rotary’s Winter Holiday Coat Drive
Orange & Rockland (O&R) has donated $500 to help support this year’s Spring Valley Rotary Winter Holiday Coat Drive.
The Rotary coat campaign was two-fold:
- a fund-raising drive that raised and donated $2,000 to Spring Valley’s Martin Luther King Center so that the center could purchase new coats and distribute those to the community’s needy and
- a collection effort that rounded up two SUVs full of new and lightly used winter coats, hats and gloves that were donated to Helping Hands of Rockland for distribution to the area’s homeless population.
Spring Valley Rotary President Julie M. Prevost said, “O&R has always been a great partner with many of the Rotary Clubs and many other philanthropic organizations in Rockland.”
