Variable Refrigerant Flow System Rebates & Commercial Incentives

Upgrade your commercial or multifamily property with a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system — a smarter, energy-efficient approach to heating and cooling.

About

Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) is an advanced heat pump technology that gives commercial and multifamily buildings precise, zoned control over heating and cooling. Unlike traditional HVAC systems that rely on water or air to move energy, VRF circulates refrigerant dynamically to the needs of each space, delivering the right amount of heating or cooling exactly where and when it's needed.

How It Works

At the heart of a VRF system is heat pump technology—a cleaner, smarter approach to a building’s climate control. Rather than generating heat directly, the system uses refrigerant to move heat where it is needed. In cooling mode, indoor units absorb heat from individual zones and transfer it to the outdoor unit. In heating mode, the outdoor unit captures heat from the outside air and delivers it to the indoor units. Some VRF systems can also redirect heat from zones that need cooling to zones that need heating, while continuously adjusting refrigerant flow to match each zone’s real-time demand.
