Virtual Commissioning Energy Efficiency Program (VCx)

What is VCx®?

The VCx program, provided at no cost by O&R’s energy efficiency partner, Power TakeOff, is a service that offers in-depth energy usage insights for commercial and industrial customers. Unlike traditional energy audits, which require on-site visits, VCx allows trained energy advisors to analyze your facility’s energy use remotely. 

Participating is fast and easy with no eligible equipment criteria, fees, or enrollment paperwork. In 2020, VCx participants reduced their energy usage by an average of 15% - with zero on site visits required, and zero cost for participation.

How VCx® works

• 100% Virtually Delivered: No on-site visits or in-person audits required. All communication with an Energy Advisor is done via email or phone. No in-person audits, no scheduling headaches, and no disruption to your day-to-day operations. 
• RemoteMeter Data Analysis: Your energy advisor analyzes your existing meter data to detect patterns of unexpected or wasted energy usage – no site visit or equipment installation necessary.  
• Personalized Recommendations: You’ll receive a customized roadmap of low-cost operational improvements tailored specifically for your facilities’ usage patterns and business priorities. 
• Measured & Verified Results: Your dedicated Energy Advisor tracks the impact of every improvement so you can see exactly how much energy and money you’re saving.  

What to Expect After You Enroll 

If your meter data confirms that you’re a strong candidate, your dedicated Energy Advisor from Power TakeOff will reach out to you directly. Then – you simply review the recommendations and decide what to implement.

This service will help identify energy-saving opportunities such as:

1. Optimizing equipment operating schedules
2. Eliminating inefficient equipment start-up and shut-down schedules
3. Identifying equipment setbacks to address unnecessary usage
