Employee Engagement

    While our primary job is to keep energy flowing to our customers, our company and employees do much more. Through volunteerism and the company’s matching gift program, our employees power the communities where they live and work.

    Volunteerism

    We believe in the power of giving. Our robust volunteer program speaks to Orange and Rockland’s commitment to enhancing the vitality of the communities we serve.

    In 2024, more than 234 of our employees dedicated 590 hours of their own time to nonprofit organizations across our service area.

    We laid wreaths, cleaned, and planted garden beds, and harvested garlic. We also supported local students who competed in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. We believe in enhancing the neighborhoods where Orange and Rockland employees live and work.

    Matching Gift Program 

    Through our matching gift program, we support causes that our employees care about. When employees contribute to local nonprofit organizations, these gifts are eligible for a company match. In 2024, we matched more than $30,000 to benefit communities in our service territory.
