O&R Estimates Power Back to 95% of Customers Affected by the Storm by 1 P.M. Tuesday

Orange and Rockland Utilities (O&R) estimates that power should be restored to 95% of the customers affected by this weather event by 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, and all customers should be restored to service by 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

Approximately 20,000 Orange and Rockland Utilities and Rockland Electric Company customers in all lost electric service in parts of Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, Rockland, Orange, and Sullivan counties when high winds snapped electric delivery lines or toppled trees that fell into the companies’ electric lines causing damage Sunday night into Monday morning.

Overhead line crews worked through the night last night and will continue to work through the night tonight to restore service.

Here are the Estimated Times of Restoration (ETRs) by county:

 

Orange County – 95% Restored at 11p.m. tonight 12/18

Sullivan County – 95% Restored at 1 p.m. tomorrow 12/19

Rockland County – 95% Restored at 1 p.m. tomorrow 12/19

 

Passaic County – 95% Restored at 1 p.m. tomorrow 12/19

Bergen County – 95% Restored at 1p.m. tomorrow 12/19

Sussex County – 95% Restored at 1 p.m. tomorrow 12/19
