Orange and Rockland Utilities Donates $10,000 for Kids’ School Supplies

Orange and Rockland Utilities (O&R) this year has donated $10,000 to help support People to People’s Back to School with Dignity program, an effort that, since 1994, has sent thousands of Rockland County’s children back to school each year ready to succeed.

Over the past 10 years, O&R has contributed approximately $85,000 to this program.

O&R’s Manager-Strategic Partnerships Linda Feger said, “These tools for school can help these students build a bright and enduring future, one in which they and their families can grow and prosper.”

Contributions of new school supplies – including backpacks, binders, calculators, and two-pocket folders – are still needed. Financial donations are welcome, too.

School supplies can be dropped off at People to People, 121 West Nyack Road in Nanuet, Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Financial contributions can be made online by going to www.peopletopeopleinc.org.
