Upper Saddle River Neighborhood Gets Electric Upgrade
Rockland Electric Company plans to start a $200,000 project next week to rebuild part of its underground electric system in Upper Saddle River.
The project is scheduled to begin Monday, November 12 and continue through Tuesday, November 27. This is scheduled repair and replacement work to strengthen and improve the reliability of the electric system.
The contractor performing work, Colonnelli Brothers, will be trenching 1,400 feet along Iron Latch Court to install new electric cable to four transformers, serving approximately 15 customers.
The crews will be performing the work between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic control flaggers, cones and signs will be fully deployed for workplace safety. The necessary permits have been obtained.
The affected customers are being notified of the project by letter from O&R. Access for customers will be accommodated at all times and trenches will be made safe at the end of each day.
