Supplier Diversity Program

Our Supplier Diversity Program seeks to help develop minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs), so that they may be better able to compete with more established companies. 

How to Qualify

We consider a business to be minority- or women-owned if it is at least 51 percent owned by one or more minority or women groups.

Typical minority groups include: African-Americans, Asian-/Pacific-Americans, Polynesian-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Native Americans, Eskimos or Aleuts, and Filipino-Americans.

Program Benefits

We don't unduly favor specific vendors. However, so that MWBEs can compete with other established firms, we:

  •  Identify areas where there is little or no participation from MWBEs, and then encourage bids from MWBE vendors.
  • Encourage MWBEs to expand (when practical) so they’re better able to bid on projects.
  • Pay promptly to ensure uninterrupted cash flow for MWBEs.

If your business meets the criteria outlined above, please use our online application form to see if you qualify. If approved, your business will be placed on a resource list for our employees.
