Vintage O&R Photos Grace New RCC Market at Company’s Former HQ In Nyack

O&R today presented five poster-mounted, black-and-white vintage photos depicting various scenes from the company’s life during the mid-20th Century to Rockland Community College’s (RCC) Hudson Market on Main which held its grand opening today at O&R’s former headquarters building in downtown Nyack.

The Market had a soft opening to the public on October 22 and features a 45-seat café managed by Flik Hospitality with an assortment of baked goods, soups, salads and sandwiches. The 30x40-inch photos are featured in the Market’s café.

The Market is administered by the new RCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center, which is housed in the same building.

The Center was created in response to the steady growth in restaurants and tourism in the Mid-Hudson Valley and the resulting need for more qualified workers.

The curriculum focuses on New York artisanal food, craft beverages and agriculture. It offers fast-track culinary arts certificate programs, workforce-ready training for veterans and under-served populations, a state-of-the-industry teaching kitchen and now, an open-to-the-public market store with freshly prepared foods for dine-in or take-out.
