Rockland Electric Donates $10,000 to Bergen Winter Wonderland

Expanded Holiday Spectacular Adds More Skating, Family Fun

Bergen County’s second annual Winter Wonderland has transformed three-and-a-half acres of Van Saun County Park in Paramus into a winter paradise, featuring new extended hours, twice as much rink space for skating and a new giant heated igloo so that Santa and Mrs. Claus are cozy while meeting all the children expected to visit.

And again this year, Rockland Electric Company has donated $10,000 to help support this unique county-wide celebration of December and all the family-oriented activities, festivities and food the season brings, both indoors and outdoors.

More than 35,000 people attended the festival last year, and officials expect even large crowds this year to stroll through the heated hospitality tent, ride the carousel, marvel at the zoo demonstrations and climb aboard the Bergen County Express train ride through the park, arts and crafts and food galore.

Signs of the holidays are everywhere from the giant tinsel and candy cane gateway to all the fun to a massive Christmas tree topped by a shining star. Each of Bergen County’s 70 municipalities have been invited to decorate one of the 70 town trees, which will be donated to their communities at the end of the seasonal event. The Wonderland spectacular runs through January 1, 2018.
