O&R Helps Fund VCS Program to Aid At-Risk Students
The grant was made specifically to help fund the efforts of VCS’ Rockland Student Advocacy Program. That program, which VCS has operated since 2002, is designed to help parents and students access appropriate public school services through the expertise, knowledge and skills of an educational advocate. This program provides parents or guardians of at-risk students, or the professionals assisting those families, with the help needed to understand and use students’ legal rights to an education.
