O&R: New Energy-Saving Products At Its Online Marketplace
Orange & Rockland (O&R), and its digital marketing partner, Simple Energy, have introduced to O&R’s online store a new product line designed to make saving energy and money both easy and affordable.
The O&R and Simple Energy partnership is part of a pilot program O&R has conceived to more closely align its energy-efficiency efforts with the New York State Public Service Commission’s (PSC) “Reforming the Energy Vision” initiatives to modernize the state’s energy utility industry. Among those initiatives are programs to motivate and empower customers to better understand and take control of their energy use.
O&R’s online store, My ORU Store, which launched earlier this year, now offers O&R’s residential customers a wider array of energy-saving products. Those products include LED lighting packs, water conservation products, advanced power strips and smart thermostats.
Through the store, eligible New York customers can receive an instant rebate of up to $48 on energy-saving products and can receive a further rebate of $85 when they enroll their smart thermostat in O&R’s innovative Bring Your Own Thermostat program.
Simple Energy’s Marketplace, which powers My ORU store, is a useful tool that makes energy efficiency easier and more affordable for both utility providers and customers. This ecommerce solution not only increases product awareness and rebate redemptions, but it also helps utilities meet energy reduction targets while increasing customer engagement at a reduced cost.
