Did you know that your second working refrigerator or freezer may be wasting over $300 a year in electricity. However, there's a way you can save energy and money, and help the environment as well. Through O&R's Recycle & CASH IN program, we'll come to your home or business to pick up the appliance. We'll also recycle it and send you a check for $50.

You must be an O&R electric customer in New York State to participate in the O&R's Recycle & CASH IN program. For more information and to schedule a pickup, enroll online or call 1-866-552-3755.

Cool Off & CASH IN

Replace your old, inefficient room air conditioner(s) and dehumidifier(s) with an ENERGY STAR® model and receive a rebate on your purchase. ENERGY STAR® A/Cs and dehumidifiers are at least 10 to 15 percent more efficient than standard models. The following rebates apply:

• $25 for ENERGY STAR® room air conditioner(s) <= 15,000 Btuh
• $50 for ENERGY STAR® room air conditioner(s) > 15,000 Btuh
• $10 for ENERGY STAR® dehumidifiers
