Who can pay by phone?

Any customer with a checking account from a bank, credit union or other financial institution can pay by phone.

How do I pay by phone?

To pay by phone, call Customer Assistance toll-free at 1-877-434-4100 and select one of these two options:

  • Speak to one of our Customer Service Representatives, weekdays, 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., except holidays;
  • Use our computerized telephone system for a 'round-the-clock, self-service option:

    1. Press 3 on your touchtone telephone pad (or say 3) to select "All other matters" from the main menu.
    2. Press or say 3 again to select "Payment and Billing Options."
    3. Press or say 1 to pay by phone.
    4. Follow the voice prompts.
What do I need to pay by phone?

You'll need to have your checkbook and energy bill handy.

Is there a charge for making a payment by phone?

This option is a free service. Plus, you get to save on postage costs and check fees.

When will payment be posted to my account if I pay by phone?

To be on the safe side, please allow two business days for payment to be posted to your account.

How will I know if my payment went through when I pay by phone?

You'll get a confirmation message at the end of your call.
