Cool Off and Cash In

Just in time for summer, O&R is offering new energy-efficiency and recycling rebates. With O&R’s Appliance Recycling and Rebate Program, you can save energy and money -- and help the environment.
 
Cool Off with Rebates for ENERGY STAR® Room A/Cs and Dehumidifiers
 
Replace your old, inefficient room air conditioner(s) and dehumidifier(s) with an ENERGY STAR® model and receive up to $50 in rebates. ENERGY STAR® A/Cs and dehumidifiers are at least 10 to 15 percent more efficient than standard models. The following rebates apply:
  • $25 for ENERGY STAR® room air conditioner(s) <= 15,000 Btuh
  • $50 for ENERGY STAR® room air conditioner(s) > 15,000 Btuh
  • $10 for ENERGY STAR® dehumidifiers
Choose the appliance that’s right for you. Refer to of the ENERGY STAR® list of eligible models for room air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
 
To receive a rebate, download and print the application form, complete and mail it with the required documents. Eligibility Requirements and other Terms and Conditions are on the application form.  
Cash for Energy Hogs
Your old second refrigerator or freezer may be wasting over $300 a year in electricity.
O&R will recycle your working second refrigerator or stand-alone freezer and give you a rebate check for $50.Simply schedule an appointment for us to take it away so it can be properly disposed of. E-mail program coordinator Scott Markwood with your name, address and phone number to schedule a pick up within 60 days. Or call 1-877-852-5678 to leave a message.
