O&R Marks 7th Highest Electric Demand Day in its History

PEARL RIVER, NY June 11, 2008 — Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. (O&R) set a record today as a result of the heat wave by posting the seventh highest daily electric demand in the Company's history.

O&R recorded an electric demand at the hours ending at 5 p.m. of 1,490 megawatts (MW). That demand surpassed the former seventh-place finisher on the top 10 all-time demand list of 1,474 megawatts (MW), a record set on July 10, 2007.
