PCL&P Launches New Pike Customer Publication to Provide Better Service and More Information

MILFORD, PA January 2, 2008 — Pike County Light & Power Co. (PCL&P) today unveiled a new customer newsletter tailored specifically for its Pike County customers and designed to connect with those customers' interests in a "more meaningful and practical way."

The new publication is @yourservice, A Guide to Energy Services and Solutions. It will be mailed to PCL&P customers with their monthly billing statements at least six times per year.

In a letter in January's inaugural issue, PCL&P Vice President of Customer Service Jim O'Brien wrote to Pike customers, "We know you're interested in using energy wisely and managing your monthly energy expenses. To that end, we'll be working more closely with you in these areas."

The premiere issue featured tips on how to conserve energy and energy dollars, how to use energy-efficient technology to save energy dollars and how to find help to pay your energy bill if you cannot afford to pay yourself.

O'Brien also announced that PCL&P would be opening a new customer service center in Pike County in 2008.

He said, "We know that there are times when having a toll-free number to call or having access to a Web site where you can do business at any time aren't enough. So we are opening a center where you can speak to us face-to-face and one-on-one."

The new center's location and the date of its opening will be announced later in the year.

Today's initiative grew out of PCL&P's October 24 announcement of a set of far-reaching plans aimed at substantially fortifying its electric system in Pennsylvania and improving service to its electric customers in the state over the next five years and beyond.

The plan for opening a new customer service office in Pike was aimed at making it easier for customers to do business with the Company.
