Orange & Rockland is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Systems Analyst in the
IR – O&R Application Services department.
This position is responsible for having specific
technical knowledge, which includes COBOL, CICS, DB2, and WebFOCUS. Knowledge of SQLServer, VB.Net,
and ASP.Net are a plus.
The candidate should possess the ability to complete multiple assignments with changing
priorities, while still meeting deadlines, as well as the ability to perform some supervisory
functions in support or absence of the team leader. The candidate will be responsible for having
the ability to transfer knowledge to peers and train subordinates.
The candidate will be responsible for making
recommendations for improving application design and implementation in light of process changes
or changes in the business or technology environment. In addition, the candidate will need to
follow up on recommendations, develop tangible implementation proposals and, if approved, develop
detailed plans.
The successful candidate should possess an associate's degree or technical certification. A bachelor's
degree is preferred. Must have a minimum of five years demonstrated work experience in a related
Information Technology field. Additionally, the candidate must possess excellent oral and written
communication skills, as well as have experience writing formal documentation and requirements.
Some experience preparing and conducting presentations is necessary.

Administrator (Regulatory Support)

Orange & Rockland is seeking applicants for an Administrator in its Customer Energy Services
department.
The Administrator serves as the regulatory and policy coordinator for all aspects
of the Company's gas and electric retail access, energy efficiency, demand response, renewable
and low income programs, and represents the Company at public service commission meetings and
conferences related to these areas. This position reviews and evaluates legislative initiatives
and statewide energy and renewable plans and policies in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania,
and on a federal level. The Administrator also assists with the development, implementation, evaluation
and preparation of required reports for customer energy programs.
The qualified candidate must
possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with utility
staff and regulatory agencies. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook,
Access, PowerPoint, and Word).
The candidate must have a bachelor's degree, preferably with legal or regulatory education,
and three years experience or equivalent in regulatory, policy or related work. An energy industry
background is preferred.

Distribution Engineering Workstation System Administrator

Orange & Rockland is seeking applicants for the position of Distribution Engineering Workstation
System Administrator in its Smart Grid Engineering department.
This position performs electrical
engineering work in the distribution engineering disciplines requiring considerable individual
judgment. The primary responsibilities will be to provide engineering services for the development,
maintenance and support of the Distribution Engineering Workstation (DEW) power system analysis
program, including designing, coding, testing, documenting, problem solving, training, and integrating
this system with other corporate systems, while ensuring that the system remains secure from a
cyber security perspective. This position will also be responsible for the development and integration
of DEW into control room operations, as well as working on the smart grid aspects of the system's
development.
The qualified applicant must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, with a strong
computer background. Experience and familiarity with power system analysis and planning of electric
utility distribution systems is preferred. Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible
to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Applicant should possess good written and oral presentation
skills, as well as have proficiency with the Windows environment and Microsoft Office products.
