It
could be you.
It could be you whose life was quickly turned upside down by an emergency.
It could be you who suffers an unexpected medical problem or financial reversal, a household
breakup or a layoff, a tragic accident or any other kind of emergency that could prevent
you from being able to afford to pay your home-heating bill.
Sudden misfortune respects no wealth or position or status. If it's not you, it could be
a friend, a co-worker, a neighbor. It could even be one of your relatives.
Maybe The Neighbor Fund can help.
That's why the help offered by The Neighbor Fund, Orange & Rockland's and Pike County
Light & Power Co.'s emergency fuel fund, is so vitally important.
The Neighbor Fund provides financial assistance to O&R and PCL&P customers who
find themselves temporarily unable to pay their home-heating bills because of emergency
conditions. To learn more about who qualifies for this help, read more about The Neighbor
Fund in the Special
Needs & Assistance section of our Web site.
Since 1983, The Neighbor Fund has provided critical home-heating assistance by awarding
over $3.1 million in emergency grants to more than 14,000 households enduring financial
hardship.
These grants are funded by contributions from you and thousands of other O&R and PCL&P
customers. That amount is matched dollar-for-dollar by the shareholders of Consolidated
Edison, Inc., O&R's parent company.
The Neighbor Fund needs your help.

Who administers The Neighbor Fund grants?
Local human services agencies in the community, not Orange & Rockland, decide who's
eligible to receive financial assistance.
