O&R employees as community volunteersIt could be you.

It could be you whose life was quickly turned upside down by an emergency.

It could be you who suffers an unexpected medical problem or financial reversal, a household breakup or a layoff, a tragic accident or any other kind of emergency that could prevent you from being able to afford to pay your home-heating bill.

Sudden misfortune respects no wealth or position or status. If it's not you, it could be a friend, a co-worker, a neighbor. It could even be one of your relatives.

Maybe NJ SHARES can help.

That's why the help offered by the New Jersey Statewide Heating Assistance and Referral for Energy Services (NJ SHARES) is so vitally important.

NJ SHARES provides financial assistance to Rockland Electric Company customers who find themselves unable to pay their home-heating bills because of emergency conditions. To learn about who qualifies for this help, read more about NJ SHARES in the Special Needs & Assistance section of our Web site.

These grants are funded by contributions from thousands of other Rockland Electric Company customers. The shareholders of Consolidated Edison, Inc., Orange & Rockland's parent company, also make a sizable contribution to the fund. Rockland Electric Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc.

NJ SHARES needs your help.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to NJ SHARES, simply add a dollar to your energy bill (we'll know what it's for). You may add a dollar as often as you wish.

You may also make a direct gift with a check payable to NJ SHARES. Mail it to:

Rockland Electric Company
82 E. Allendale Road, Suite 8
Saddle River, NJ 07458
Attn: NJ SHARES Coordinator

Or, you can sign up for the Planned Contribution option by filling out the online pledge form or calling us toll-free at 1-877-434-4100. With your authorization, we will add the amount you wish to donate on your monthly energy bill starting at $1.
